The total number of Covid-19 cases confirmed in Fuvahmulah City has reached 750.
The Fuvahmulah Hospital revealed that a total of 681 Covid-19 patients have observed full recoveries thus far, and nine persons had recovered over the past 24 hours.
One person is to have tested positive for coronavirus over the past 24 hours.
The hospital has urged residents of the city to test for Covid-19 should they develop any symptoms, without delay.
A total of 15،749 samples have been collected for coronavirus testing across the southern city thus far, with the results for 139 of them, pending.
Further the authorities have identified 275 contacts as high-risk contacts so far. Three Covid-19 patients are currently hospitalized for treatment.
Recent statistics also indicate that 636 residences across the city are currently under monitoring.
Fuvahmulah City currently has 70 active covid-19 cases, including 63 Maldivians and seven expatriates.
In a bid to control the Covid-19 outbreak in the city, a number of precautionary measures and restrictions had been implemented, alongside awareness efforts on the importance of vaccination.
5,865 residents of Fuvahmulah City have received their first Covid-19 vaccination doses so far, with 3,236 having been fully vaccinated.
Monitoring measures were implemented across the city on May 5, after a symptomatic individual tested positive after having attended the flu clinic.
