President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih established governing boards of two hospitals, this week.
The governing boards were established in Addu Equatorial Hospital and Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital.
President Solih appointed seven members to the board of Addu Equatorial Hospital; Ahmed Zahir, Dr. Mohamed Solih, Dr. Ali Nazeem, Aminath Shaina Abdulla, Aminath Mohamed Didi, Zahidha Ibrahim and Abdulla Sadiq.
Ahmed Zahir was appointed the Chairperson of the governing board.
The newly established governing board of Addu Equatorial Hospital is tasked with the management of the hospital as well as health centers across four districts of the southernmost city; Meedhoo, Maradhoo, Feydhoo and Hulhudhoo.
Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital
Further, six members were appointed to the Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital; Aminath Gasim, Aminath Nazeer, Moomina Abdulla, Hassan Shujau, Abdul Latheef Hassan and Ahmed Dawood.
The members were appointed on Wednesday.
Aminath Gasim was appointed as the chairperson of the Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital's governing board.
