Maldives has reported the 14th death to the global Covid-19 pandemic.
The Health Protection Agency (HPA) revealed that a 79-year-old Maldivian woman admitted at the Hulhumalé Medical Facility passed away a little past 5pm on Tuesday.
Maldives has reported the 14th death related to the pandemic, at a time Covid-19 cases have been on the rise, of late.
The 13th death to the pandemic was reported last Wednesday when a 70-year-old Maldivian woman who was pronounced dead on arrival at Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH), tested positive for the virus. A total of three deaths related to Covid-19 were reported last week.
The country’s Covid-19 case count currently sits at 2,762, with 2,290 recoveries reported since the infection surfaced in the Maldives on March 7.
