Hulhumalé Hospital successfully performed their first spine surgery, on Friday.
The state-run Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) revealed that they had extended aid to support the first ever spine surgery conducted at Hulhumalé Hospital.
As such, a team of surgeons and nurses from IGMH extended a helping hand in the operation where a 45-year-old man underwent spine surgery.
Highlighting that this is a “landmark achievement”, the state-run hospital extended congratulations to Hulhumalé Hospital.
The team of health professionals and experts from IGMH has been extending such assistance in a number of operations and very recently a team of doctors and nurses from IGMH visited southernmost Addu City for a spine surgery at the Addu Equatorial Hospital.
