Dhiraagu has revealed their decision to postpone the 14th edition of the “Dhiraagu Maldives Road Race”, due to the current situation of the Covid-19 pandemic in the Maldives.

The largest annual run held in the Maldives is among the many events cancelled by the telecommunications giant. As such, Dhiraagu decided not to host any major events that involve public gatherings this year, in order to ensure the government’s social distancing protocol, which is “key to contain the spread” of the virus.

Thousands of runners across the globe joins the international event each year and is one of the most anticipated events from the telecom provider.

It is indeed a sad decision for all of us to postpone the event. However, we would not hesitate to place the highest priority on the health and safety of our runners, supporters and the community which would always come first.”
