A Maldivian national is among the positive Covid-19 cases in Malaysia, according to the country's Ministry Of Health.
Malaysia's Ministry of Health announced on Thursday - via Twitter - that a total of 416 foreign nationals tested positive for Covid-19 in the South-East Asian nation.
This number reportedly includes one Maldivian national.
RaajjeMV contacted the spokesperson for the Maldives' government's Covid-19 task force Mohamed Mabrook Aziz for verification. He stated that this information is still pending confirmation.
The Maldives High Commission in Malaysia also tweeted that they are working to verify this.
A large Maldivian community resides in Malaysia, including a number of students.
A Moldovan national was mistakenly reported as a Maldivian, amongst confirmed Covid-19 cases from the United Arab Emirates, back in March.
