Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdulla Shahid has held discussions with heads of diplomatic missions via video conference.

During the video conference held on Sunday night, minister Shahid held discussions with heads of 17 different Maldivian diplomatic missions regarding the situation of Maldivians residing abroad.

He had also requested the officials to make every effort to provide assistance for Maldivian citizens stranded abroad as a result of Covid-19.

The minister has monitored the situation of Maldivians abroad via telephonic conferences with foreign officials as well. He is also playing a huge role in the provision of essential food items and medicines from foreign countries.
