President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has inspected two isolation facilities being constructed in the Male' region.
According to a press release by the President's Office, the President took a tour of an isolation facility being established in Farukolhufushi island as well as the facility being developed near TreeTop Hospital in Hulhumale’ on Thursday morning.
The President checked the progress of the construction work of both facilities and its operations during the inspections.
Health Minister Abdulla Ameen, Defence Minister Mariya Didi and Tourism Minister Ali Waheed accompanied the president.
A number of resorts have been offered to the government to be used as facilities, following decision to quarantine to incoming passengers to the country except tourists.
While arrangements have been made to plant 100 more beds at the facility in Vilivaru, isolation facilities have been set up at Velidhu Island Resort and Hulhulé Island Hotel (HIH) as well while the rest of the resorts are being as isolation facilities.
