Pakistan’s Ambassador to Maldives, Vice Admiral Waseem Akram (Rtd) paid a farewell call on President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih on Sunday.

During the call held at the President’s Office in the morning, President Solih expressed his sincere gratitude to the ambassador and the Government of Pakistan for the “continuous support for the development of Maldives, especially in the areas of education, health, social welfare and sports.”

The president also highlighted on the “close” brotherly friendship between the two countries.

President Solih concluded the meeting by expressing hope for further enhancement of the long-standing bilateral relations between the Maldives and Pakistan.
