Police Club has headed to the finals after beating Goodies Sports Club in the ongoing National Volley League.

Police won three sets to one in the match played at the Youth Center.

During the match, Police Club players took the sets, 25 – 19, 31 – 29, 25 – 22 and 25 – 23.

While Goodies team failed to show an adequate performance during the first set, police players showed an excellent performance with Huzam and Saajid having stepped up their game.

The second set however, saw equal play from both sides, with Goodies having taken the set with an excellent performance by Nilam.

Having effortlessly won the last two sets, Police headed to the finals.

Police Club’s Ismail Saajid was dubbed the best player of the match.

During the finals, police will go head to head against Dhivehi Sifainge Club, whom they beat three sets to two in the first semi.

While Dhivehi Sifainge Club was leading the first round of the league having the top spot in the table, it remains in the top spot with 12 points with Goodies at its tail with 11 points and Police Club at the third spot with 10 points.

During the first round of the league, Sports Club Hawks was eliminated from round one after losing all the matches.
