Manta Air's third seaplane to arrive on Tuesday

Manta Air is to add a third seaplane to its fleet this month.

The seaplane is to arrive in the Maldives on Tuesday.

The new domestic airline brought its first seaplane on October 2, while a second one was brought 10 days later on October 12. These are DHC-6 Twin Otter seaplanes, with a 15-passenger capacity including luggage space.

Each plane will be operated by two pilots.

As the airline continues work to launch seaplane services this November, its chief marketing officer Ahmed Maumoon said that a fixed schedule will be released to better services.

The domestic airline began operations seven months prior, in February 2019. It currently operates three ATR 72-600 to Dharavandhoo Airport in Baa atoll and Kudahuvadhoo Airport in Dhaalu.
