Two Japanese military ships arrive in Maldives
 
The ships arrived with the objective of conducting maritime training sessions in partnership with the MNDF Coast Guard.

Two ships from the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force has arrived in the Maldives on a friendly visit.

According to the Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF), the two ships, which will be docked in port from 15th-18th October, are “JMSDF Takashima” and “JMSDF Bungo”.

The ships arrived with the objective of conducting maritime training sessions in partnership with the MNDF Coast Guard. These sessions will consist of maritime fire-fighting, damage control, and naval drills.

From these two ships that arrived on Monday, “JMSDF Takashima” is ranked under the navy destroyer class and “JMSDF Bungo” is a mine warfare ship.
