Maldives Islamic Banking and Finance Industry Conference’s sixth edition has begun on Tuesday.
An annual event organized by Sri Lanka’s UTO EduConsult together with Adl Capital as the international lead event partner, the MIBFI Conference began at the Islamic University on Tuesday morning.
Deliberations were held on several contemporary issues related to the IBF industry in the Maldives.
Several industry experts and leaders across the globe took part in the event to shed light on insightful topics.
While the partners of the event are Women on Boards Maldives, Maldives Islamic Bank (MIB), Amana Takaful Maldives, KPMG Maldives, Maldives Center for Islamic Finance (MCIF) as well as the Islamic University of Maldives (IUM), this year’s theme revolves around “Sustainable Development Through Islamic Social Financing and Innovation.”
The fifth edition of the conference focused on Fintech, Cryptocurrencies and Block Chain.
The organizers of the event stressed that this is an important platform to promote islamic financing in the country, which has been going on for 15 years now.
